This is what I get for pursuing a Catholic education. I might be tired, but I am certainly not dead. Erm, I think I’ll check my pulse now…

Well, our family finally found time to get away together. We had been planning the vacation since before Dad died, and he had been looking forward to it as well. I know he’s been present to us while we were up here, which has been a great encouragement to us.

We’ve been renting a condo here at Blue Harbor Resort in Sheboygan, WI. It’s a great, four room condo with a kitchen and great room. We have been very comfortable and have been able to take advantage of all the resort’s ammenities, as well as the great beach along Lake Michigan.

Yesterday we had lunch at Il Ritrovo on 8th Street. Peg got the recommendation from Jonathan Brandmeier who actually emailed her the location! It was a great place, awesome fire baked pizza and great service.

The town of Sheboygan is nice too. Lots of mom and pop shops, great bacon at the Butcher on 12th Street, and the service at the resort has been great. All in all, a very restful vacation, and we are looking forward to next year!
